Outdoor activities are a healthy way to spend time with the family. Natural settings release us from stress and sometimes anxiety due to personal and work challenges. Every day at the park is a new adventure for children that contributes to their wellbeing, they benefit from being exposed to sunlight, natural elements, and open-air, which contributes to bones development, stronger immune system, and physical activity (1,2). In addition, a playground enhances the outdoor experience and contributes to childhood development.

Public playgrounds offer a range of activities that get children moving while fostering their physical and social development.  At Westplay, we create unique parks with original and innovative playsets and fun-themed spaces that inspire children’s dreams.  Our playgrounds, components, and products, stimulate imagination and foster interaction between children. We proudly have contributed to the wellbeing of our community as a result of the implementation of several playgrounds in parks and other public spaces around British Columbia.

Get out, play, and be happy.

The Province of British Columbia is a natural wonder, where cities like Metropolitan Vancouver offer many outdoor activities to spend time with the family. According to Danae Lund, “Outdoor light stimulates the pineal gland. This part of the brain is vital to keeping our immune system strong and making us feel happier. Spending time in nature is also associated with improving mood and happiness.” (3). Therefore, get out, play, and be happy.
